How do I take part in Dine Out for Heroes as a diner?
No passes, tickets or coupons are required for participation in Dine Out for Heroes, but it is strongly recommended that diners make reservations in advance. See our “Participating Restaurants” for reservation information. By simply going out to eat at a participating restaurant this Veterans Day, you can have a positive impact on our nation’s wounded, ill, and injured veterans, service members and their families.

Don’t forget to use #Dine4Heroes on Instagram and Twitter to tag your experience and follow the event. Prizes will be given to the three photos that earn the most votes—so get your friends to vote for you! Prizes include gift cards to top NYC restaurants.

Which restaurants are involved?
More than 150 restaurants throughout New York City have taken part in the annual #Dine4Heroes promotion. For Dine Out for Heroes 2016, a complete list of participating restaurants is available here.

Are reservations required?
Reservations are not required, but are highly recommended. There is no guarantee that walk-in guests will be accommodated, so please call ahead or book your reservation online.

Is there a set price or prix fixe menu at participating restaurants?
There’s no set meal price or set menu required for Dine Out for Heroes. Just select which of our participating restaurants you want to dine at on Veterans Day, November 11, and you can participate by ordering off of their regular menu -OR- any special menus presented by some restaurants. You are able to choose how much you want to spend, so you can support this important cause in whatever way fits your budget.

When is the deadline to participate in Dine Out for Heroes?
The deadline to sign up for Dine Out for Heroes is September 23, 2017. If you are interested in registering after this date, please don’t hesitate to reach out. Please be aware that print deadlines may have passed.

How do I sign my restaurant up to participate in Dine Out For Heroes?
To sign up, simply add your restaurant via our online form. By signing up, you are agreeing to pledge $1 per cover on Veterans Day, November 11 2017. Please contact Katherine.Cook@BobWoodruffFoundation.org if you have any questions.

Why am I making a pledge?
By making a pledge of $1 per cover to the Bob Woodruff Foundation, your restaurant will receive a number of exciting benefits including a listing in the Stand Up for Heroes comedy and music event program, and extended life online at the Bob Woodruff Foundation website. This year, we look forward to promoting Dine Out for Heroes during Veterans Week in NYC, where over 500,000 spectators gathered in 2016 to enjoy the Veterans Day Parade and experience New York City entertainment, shopping, and restaurants.

Your pledge will go towards the Foundation’s mission to create long-lasting positive outcomes for our nation’s wounded, ill, and injured veterans, service members and their families. Need more info? Feel free to contact us at Katherine.Cook@BobWoodruffFoundation.org.

When will I see my business listed on the website?
The Dine Out for Heroes website is updated regularly. Your business will be listed within a few days after you sign up.

Can I include the Dine Out for Heroes logo on my website?
After you complete the participation form, all participants will receive the official Dine Out for Heroes logo via email. If you have not received your confirmation email yet, please contact us.
